Anti-Inflammatory Mango Turmeric Smoothie
I have a confession to make… I am not a huge fan of drinking smoothies. You know there are just certain foods you really have to be in the mood for to enjoy. Smoothies are one of those foods for me. I suppose that’s a little funny since I am doing a whole series on smoothies! But you all voted and I didn’t want to let you down. AND guess what? Smoothies are earning my heart! Especially this one! Holy crap! It’s good.
I couldn’t decide on what to name this but SEO won in the end. Contenders were Sunshine Smoothie, Mango Golden Milk Smoothie, and Wake Up Smoothie. Just to name a few.
This smoothie is so refreshing, is anti-inflammatory and will wake you up! I hope you love it as much as I do.
Anti-inflammatory Mango Turmeric Smoothie
½ c. oats
1 tbsp. honey
2.5 c milk
2 c. frozen mango
1 frozen banana
2 inch peeled ginger
½ tsp. ground turmeric
2 cracks of course black pepper (garnish)
Place all ingredients (except black pepper) into a high speed blender starting with the lighter ingredients and ending with the heavier on top. This will help the heavy ingredients push the others down towards the blades.
Pour into a glass and top with a couple cracks of black pepper.
